Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Big Sandy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dalton Barnes, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Pierpoint, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds.
Big Sandy's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.
Big Sandy will be playing in front of their home fans against the War Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McEwen will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
