Crandall hit Belton with a seven-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Pirates, falling 13-3. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Andalyn Logan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Crandall, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

While Belton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
