Basketball Recap: Schoolcraft Comes Up Short

If Schoolcraft was riding high fresh off their 50-12 takedown of Michigan Lutheran last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Schoolcraft Eagles were outmatched by the Bronson Vikings and fell 54-23. The Eagles lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 46-39 score last time.

Bronson can attribute much of their success to Aubree Calloway, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds. Payton Springstead was another key player, putting up six points along with nine boards and three steals.

Schoolcraft dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Schoolcraft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 32-29 win against Hackett Catholic Prep on the 13th. As for Bronson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-13 victory against Union City on the 13th.
