Baseball Recap: Bothell Wins Going Away Against Eastmont

The third road contest was the charm for Bothell, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on the Eastmont Wildcats with a sharp 15-4 win on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Joey Crouthamel looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Blake Skinner, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Sean Fitts also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Bothell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Bothell picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Eastmont, their record is now 0-2.

Bothell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Mercer Island on the 24th. As for Eastmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-6 defeat against Wenatchee on the 25th.
