Basketball Recap: Lake Country Lutheran Falls Short of Edgerton in the Playoffs

Lake Country Lutheran and Edgerton squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lake Country Lutheran had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to the Edgerton Crimson Tide. That makes it the first time this season the Lightning have let down their home crowd.

Despite the loss, Lake Country Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Daniel Cleary, who shot 86% from the field on his way to 15 points and three steals. The last time Cleary's shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jacob Burow, who posted ten points.

Lake Country Lutheran suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 22-4. As for Edgerton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Lake Country Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edgerton, they will square off against Lake Mills on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lake Mills comes in on six and Edgerton on 12.
