Volleyball Recap: Thornridge Falls Short of De La Salle in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thornridge can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the De La Salle Meteors on Tuesday.

Thornridge was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

Ty'Ron Holcomb paced Thornridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Holcomb got some help from Orlando Gutierrez and his 14 assists.

Thornridge has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for De La Salle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Thornridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De La Salle, they will take on Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
