Baseball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West entered their matchup against Venture Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The West Wolfpack came up short against the Venture Academy Mustangs, falling 11-3. The Wolfpack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Austin Hatcher was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Tyler Armstrong also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

West suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3-1. As for Venture Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Weston Ranch on the 7th. As for Venture Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Delta Charter on the 6th.
