Basketball Game Preview: Bath County Wildcats vs. Raceland Rams

The Bath County Wildcats will square off against the Raceland Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Bath County came up short against Russell and fell 63-52. The Wildcats have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Raceland hadn't done well against Russell recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Raceland blew past Russell 67-26. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Raceland pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for Bath County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Bath County was dealt a bruising 84-52 defeat at the hands of Raceland in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Bath County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
