Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Kell's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Kell unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sonoraville Phoenix. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Phoenix earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Marleigh Grace paced Kell's offense, picking up seven kills. Grace got some help from Gracie Barrett and her nine assists. Barrett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Kell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Sonoraville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Kell will take on East Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sonoraville, they will face off against Adairsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
