It was a good run, but Quitman unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Benton Tigers by a score of 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since November 7, 2024.

Quitman's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 19-6. As for Benton, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-17 record.

When Quitman and Benton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Quitman will challenge Simsboro and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Benton will try to stop Natchitoches Central's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
