Softball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville lost to Beech Grove back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Hornets, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly ten runs.

Hannah Beaman made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Centerville and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Beech Grove, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-15.

Looking ahead, Centerville will square off against Wapahani at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.73 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Beech Grove, they will welcome Tri-West Hendricks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
