Basketball Recap: Wyomissing Comes Up Short

Wyomissing suffered their closest defeat since January 12th on Friday. They fell just short of the Linville Hill Warriors by a score of 60-57.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linville Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephen Smucker, who posted 19 points. Smucker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Drew Tibbins was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The victory (which was Linville Hill's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Wyomissing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-52 win against Schuylkill Valley on the 9th. Linville Hill has also already played their next matchup, a 56-54 victory against High Point Baptist Academy on the 9th.
