Basketball Recap: Martins Ferry Comes Up Short

Martins Ferry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 75-56 fall against the Indian Valley Braves. While losing is never fun, the Purple Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Braves are ranked 21st).

Martins Ferry's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Indian Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Martins Ferry will finish 2024 at home by hosting Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Indian Valley and John Glenn will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
