Volleyball Recap: Balboa Takes a Loss

Balboa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowell Cardinals. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Balboa's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Lowell, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Balboa is set to challenge their familiar foe Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lowell will face off against rival Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
