If North Babylon was feeling good fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Half Hollow Hills East on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the RedHawks by a score of 9-8 on Thursday. Even though they lost, the Bulldogs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Tristan Garcia and Jordan Konig did some serious damage despite the final result: Garcia got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Konig went 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jake Walsh was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

The defeat snapped North Babylon's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record. As for Half Hollow Hills East, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

While North Babylon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
