Presley Steffens was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Taylor Vargas-Thomas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juel Swager, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
