Gloucester County Tech is 1-6 against Gloucester City since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Gloucester County Tech will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Gloucester City Lions at 1:00 p.m. Gloucester County Tech will be strutting in after a win while Gloucester City will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Wednesday, Gloucester County Tech beat Atlantic County Institute of Tech 37-30.
Meanwhile, Gloucester City unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millville.
Despite the loss, Gloucester City saw an underclassman step up: Keegan Cohan scored 15 points. The contest was Cohan's third in a row with at least ten points. Michael Light was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Gloucester City struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Gloucester County Tech back to even at 3-3. As for Gloucester City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Gloucester County Tech came up short against Gloucester City in their previous matchup back in January, falling 48-35. Thankfully for Gloucester County Tech, Liam Gorman (who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
