After flying high against Mountain Grove Christian Academy last Friday, Ozarks Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Ozarks Christian Academy Guardians lost 71-46 to the Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions on Thursday. The Guardians' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Ozarks Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jude Morrison, who posted 20 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dj Cobban, who put up 13 points and seven rebounds.

Kansas City East Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddox Carrillo out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Damian Law, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Ozarks Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-55 victory against North Missouri HomeSchool on the 12th.
