Webb Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
South Granville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Falls Lake with a sharp 10-0 win. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chaleigh Currin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madeline Wilkins, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Addisen Goodwin, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
South Granville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Falls Lake struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, J.F. Webb got the win against Rocky Mount on Friday by a conclusive 14-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Like South Granville, J.F. Webb also got a great game from a two-way player: Terrie Thornton. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Thornton was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, Simone Ovando was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Jasey Lee was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
J.F. Webb now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Granville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. South Granville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like J.F. Webb struggles in that department as they've been averaging 13.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
