Charleston Math & Science took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 23-8 margin over the Military Magnet Academy Eagles. The Riptide haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

JD Marchant was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Brown, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Military Magnet Academy is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Charleston Math & Science has already played their next matchup, a 25-3 defeat against Branchville on the 25th. As for Military Magnet Academy, they will head out to face off against North Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
