Jake Wesbecher Game Report: vs Ste. Genevieve

On Saturday, Sparta got the W thanks in part to Jake Wesbecher playing the best basketball he has all season. Wesbecher went 8 of 11 on his way to 18 points along with 13 rebounds and six blocks. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 blocks per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Wesbecher and Sparta will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marissa/Coulterville at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. The Bulldogs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Meteors, probably because Wesbecher had a solid game then too: he posted four points. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
