Overland came out on top against Hinkley on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run fifth inning. The Trailblazers blew past the Thunder 17-7. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ruben Luna, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Overland: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-12 otherwise. Matthew Jimenez-Solis was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Overland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Overland's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Hinkley, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.
