Baseball Recap: Union Pines Takes a Loss

Union Pines lost against Pinecrest back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly three runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Union Pines and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Pinecrest, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

While Union Pines had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
