If Waynedale wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Norwayne, they should've done a better job of containing Ryder Ingold. The Bobcats walked away with a 47-40 win over the Golden Bears on Friday for which the team can thank Ingold, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. He has become a key player for Norwayne: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three steals, but 3-6 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Brendan Hall, who posted four points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Norwayne and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Waynedale, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Norwayne will challenge Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.47 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Waynedale, they and Mapleton will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Golden Bears will be up against the Mounties' rather soft defense (which has allowed 73.27 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
