Sperry kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Kiefer Trojans, falling 46-20. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Sperry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 27-15 defeat against Verdigris on the 5th. As for Kiefer, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-8 loss against Jones on the 5th.
