Volleyball Recap: Flanagan-Cornell Comes Up Short

Flanagan-Cornell lost against El Paso-Gridley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Titans.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19.

Abbi Armstrong paced Flanagan-Cornell's offense, picking up four kills. Armstrong were helped by Carleigh Pfaff and Billie Jo Shehorn, who contributed four assists each. Finally, Marley Highland kept Flanagan-Cornell's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Flanagan-Cornell now has a losing record of 2-3. As for El Paso-Gridley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flanagan-Cornell will welcome Lowpoint-Washburn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for El Paso-Gridley, they will be playing at home against Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
