Basketball Recap: Caney Creek Takes a Loss

Caney Creek played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the College Park Cavaliers, falling 98-39. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

College Park had a senior duo take command as Ian Inman went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and four steals and Aiden Buckmon went 8 of 11 en route to 20 points along with six assists and five steals. The matchup was Buckmon's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Forrest, who posted ten points and three steals.

Caney Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for College Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Caney Creek will head out to take on New Caney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Caney Creek is facing New Caney at the right time seeing as New Caney is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for College Park, they will welcome The Woodlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. College Park has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three games.
