Basketball Recap: Nate Martin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Guilford Homeschool over Oak Forest

South Guilford HomeSchool was the 63-42 winner over Oak Forest when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars received a blow on Friday as they fell 51-36 to the Oak Forest Warriors.

South Guilford HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nate Martin, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden Grice, who earned ten points.

Oak Forest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Hunter out in front who went 8-for-16 to rack up 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hampton Dixon, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 15 points.

South Guilford HomeSchool has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-20 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Oak Forest and bumps their season record up to 24-15.

As of now, neither South Guilford HomeSchool nor Oak Forest have any future games scheduled.
