Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Catholic Takes a Loss

Bethlehem Catholic had lost four straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 4-17-1 to make it five. They fell just short of the Lansdale Catholic Crusaders by a score of 5-4. The Golden Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Alex Miller made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Emmett Burns was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Lansdale Catholic, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 10th.

On Lansdale Catholic's side, Nick Wilkin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Wilkin a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Wilkin wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ben Holdsworth, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Those two hits gave Holdsworth a new career-high.

As of now, neither Bethlehem Catholic nor Lansdale Catholic have any future games scheduled.
