Basketball Game Preview: Granville Blue Aces vs. Centennial Stars

The Granville Blue Aces will head out on the road to take on the Centennial Stars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Granville sitting on ten straight victories and Centennial on 14.

Granville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Linden-McKinley 49-29. Given the Blue Aces' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Panthers are ranked 499th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Centennial beat Bexley 47-36 on Saturday.

Granville's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.

Everything came up roses for Granville against Centennial in their previous meeting back in November of 2018, as the team secured a 71-26 win. In that game, Granville amassed a halftime lead of 35-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
