Volleyball Recap: Kimball Jaguars vs. St. Mary's Rams

Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Mary's Rams, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-10.

St. Mary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rachel Nemee, who had 22 digs and two assists. Nemee has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Genevieve Rishwain was another key player, getting nine digs and five aces.

Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for St. Mary's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Kimball will be playing at home against Lodi at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, they will take on Archbishop Riordan in a tournament on Saturday.
