Preview: Gallatin County Wildcats vs. Simon Kenton Pioneers
Having just played yesterday, the Gallatin County Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Simon Kenton Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Gallatin County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
Gallatin County pushed their score all the way to 66 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-66 to Owen County.
Meanwhile, Simon Kenton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-52 to Conner. Simon Kenton has struggled against Conner recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Travis Krohman, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Bach, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Gallatin County's record now sits at 11-7. Simon Kenton's record is now 7-12.
Gallatin County suffered a grim 56-31 defeat to Simon Kenton when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Gallatin County, Gabe Dynes (who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
