Recap: Casa Roble Rams vs. Rio Linda Knights
The Casa Roble Rams entered their tilt with the Rio Linda Knights with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Casa Roble secured a 70-65 W over Rio Linda on Tuesday. Given Casa Roble's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Rio Linda is ranked 918th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Casa Roble to victory were Preston Scott and Moses Oginni. Scott scored 21 points along with six rebounds, while Oginni scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Oginni is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Benny Ambriz, who scored 17 points.
Casa Roble's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. As for Rio Linda, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-15.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pioneer the next time they take the court. Casa Roble will host Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rio Linda will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
