Baseball Game Preview: Fairless Falcons vs. Orrville Red Riders

Fairless is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Orrville Red Riders at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Fairless got the win against Lincoln West by a conclusive 13-1.

Lucas Eberly was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mike Ritterbeck, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blake Gregorich, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Orrville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against East Canton by a score of 7-2.
