Recap: Troy Flying Horses vs. Ballston Spa Scotties
The Troy Flying Horses lost against the Ballston Spa Scotties on December 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Troy was outmatched by Ballston Spa at home and fell 52-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Troy has scored all season.
Ballston Spa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mallory Sprissler, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sophia Lee, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Troy and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Ballston Spa, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
Troy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Guilderland at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Guilderland and Troy are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Ballston Spa, they will head out on the road to face off against South Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Glens Falls is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
