Softball Recap: James Clemens Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact James Clemens can now relate to. They fell just short of the Austin Black Bears by a score of 11-10 on Friday. The Jets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

James Clemens' defeat dropped their record down to 15-26-2. As for Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-14-1 record this season.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 loss against Florence on the 25th. Hopefully James Clemens paid attention to the Black Bears' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Black Bears on Saturday.
