Softball Recap: Musselman Takes a Loss

Musselman and Jefferson squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Musselman had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-0 to the Cougars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Applemen just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Musselman's loss dropped their record down to 9-16-1. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Musselman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson, they will take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
