Volleyball Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Marquette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Kingsford Flivvers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Flivvers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss two weeks ago.

Marquette's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16-1. As for Kingsford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette will welcome Petoskey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kingsford, after both having extra time off, they and Houghton will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
