Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lutheran West

Lutheran West barely beat Orange the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Longhorns were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Longhorns sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lutheran West never let Orange on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-20, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Hannah Bryda, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Bryda wasn't the only good servers: Lutheran West was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in nine consecutive contests.

The victory got Lutheran West back to even at 8-8. As for Orange, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
