Baseball Recap: Jackson North Side Triumphs

Jackson North Side proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Madison Mustangs 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 11, 2024.

Jaylen Hill was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hill was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Cross Burgess was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Andrew Doan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The victory got Jackson North Side back to even at 2-2. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
