Baseball Recap: Cranston West Comes Up Short

Cranston West dropped their record down to 9-12 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 10-4 to the Cranston East Thunderbolts. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since May 24, 2024.

Cranston West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Bastia, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

As for Cranston East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games.

On Cranston East's side, they got a great performance from Cameron Boulanger as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Boulanger has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jeu Leon, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Chisolm, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
