Donovan Catholic put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southern Regional Rams an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Caroline Kopp was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. Mia Kelliher was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Donovan Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .517 or higher in three consecutive games.

Donovan Catholic's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Southern Regional, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Donovan Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Morris Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Southern Regional, they will challenge Gateway Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
