Softball Recap: Chloe Lee Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Plano

It was a proper cat-fight when Plano East challenged Plano on Friday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 5-0 shutout. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Jadyn Dawson, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Plano off the board. Dawson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Plano East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Plano East's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Looking ahead, Plano East will square off against McKinney at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.11 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Plano, they will take on Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Blue Hawks at the right time seeing as the Blue Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
