Volleyball Recap: West De Pere Phantoms vs. Kimberly Papermakers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West De Pere can now relate to. They came up short against the Kimberly Papermakers on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Phantoms haven't had much luck with the Papermakers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Kimberly scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-19.
Lauren Tisler paced West De Pere's offense, picking up 20 kills. Tisler got some help from Lauren Verboort and her 37 assists. Tisler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
West De Pere's defeat dropped their record down to 30-8. As for Kimberly, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-13.
West De Pere does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kimberly, they will take on Waunakee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
