Softball Recap: Corona del Sol Aztecs vs. Desert Vista Thunder

Corona del Sol extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 13-11 in the process. They lost 18-2 to the Desert Vista Thunder. The Aztecs were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunder from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Mckenzie Leitgen was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Jaymie Larney was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Corona del Sol will take on Tucson High Magnet School at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
