Basketball Recap: Castle Rock Takes a Loss

Castle Rock managed to slip by Columbia the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Castle Rock Rockets lost 49-27 to the Columbia Bruins on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

When it comes to explaining why Castle Rock lost, don't look at Dakota Davis. Despite the final result, she posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. What's more, Davis also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024.

Castle Rock dropped their record down to 9-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Columbia, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Castle Rock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 31-24 defeat against King's Way Christian on the 22nd.
