Independence won against Harker last Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The 76ers came out on top against the Evergreen Valley Cougars by a score of 7-2. The win was familiar territory for the 76ers, who have now won ten contests in a row.

Julieta Ramirez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Skylar Crowell, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzy Sauao, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Independence pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Evergreen Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Independence will head out to face off against San Jose at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The 76ers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Evergreen Valley, they will welcome Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
