Avalon scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 98-87 to The Living Water School The Storm. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (76), the Black Knights still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Avalon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jordan Fox went 10 for 16 on his way to 31 points in addition to six steals and five boards. That was a full 35.6% of Avalon's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nubek Hailu, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points and eight boards.

Avalon's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for The Living Water School, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Avalon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against King's Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in King's Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for The Living Water School, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
