Basketball Recap: Escalon Comes Up Short

Escalon lost against Golden Valley back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Escalon Cougars took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Valley Cougars. While Escalon didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Golden Valley 18-13 in the first quarter.

Escalon's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Golden Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Escalon Cougars challenge the Sonora Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Golden Valley, they will challenge Kimball at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
