Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Takes a Loss

Aberdeen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the West Side Pirates 43-14. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 55-36 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Among those leading the charge was Harley Nielsen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Lauren Campbell, who posted two points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

Aberdeen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Side, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.

Aberdeen will host Raft River at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Side, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 36-32 victory against Wendell on the 9th.
